Reminiscent of the film FREQUENCY, DITTO follows high-school students So-eun (Kim Ha-neul) and In (Yoo Ji-tae) as they realize that they can never be together. So-eun, living in 1979 South Korea, begins making transmissions on a ham radio and contacts In, who unbeknownst to her lives in the year 2000. The two find that they attend the same high school, and still not aware of the time warp, strike up friendship and a romance. In addition to the timeless love story, this film is significant in its exploration of cultural identity and politics.

영화 <FREQUENCY>를 연상시키는 디토는 고등학생 소은(김하늘 분)과 인(유지태 분)이 절대 함께할 수 없다는 것을 깨닫고 따라간다. 1979년 남한에 살고 있는 소은은 햄 라디오로 전송을 시작하고 2000년에 자신의 삶을 모르는 인에게 연락한다. 두 사람은 같은 고등학교에 다니고 있지만 여전히 시간 왜곡을 알지 못하고 우정과 로맨스를 시작한다는 것을 알게 된다. 이 영화는 시대를 초월한 사랑 이야기 외에도 문화적 정체성과 정치에 대한 탐구에서 중요한 의미를 갖는다.

In 1999, Yong studies mechanical engineering at a university. He first entered the school in 1995, but took time off to perform his mandatory military service. After finishing his military service, he came back to school as a student. His first love is Han Sol.

Yong then somehow communicates with Mu Nee. Mu Nee lives in the present day. She enrolled at her university in 2021 and majors in sociology. Yong and Mu Nee, who are from different time periods, communicate and their story unfolds.

1999년 용씨는 대학에서 기계공학을 공부한다. 그는 1995년에 처음 입학했지만, 의무적인 군 복무를 하기 위해 휴가를 냈다. 군 복무를 마친 후, 그는 학생으로 학교에 돌아왔다. 첫사랑 한솔이다.

그런 다음 용은 어떻게든 무니와 소통한다. 무니는 오늘날에 살고 있다. 그녀는 2021년에 대학에 등록하여 사회학을 전공했습니다. 서로 다른 시대의 용과 무니가 소통하며 그들의 이야기가 펼쳐진다.
